Youth Achievement Award
PURPOSE:
To promote youth participation, sportsmanship and excellence within CORHA and the NRHA.
AWARDS:
Senior Division (age 16-18)
| 1st Place: $1000 | 2nd Place: $750 | 3rd Place: $500 |
Junior Division (age 13-15)
| 1st Place: $750 | 2nd Place: $500 | 3rd Place: $250 |
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be age 13-18 on January 1, 2026.
- Complete application submitted online no later than end of the May show.
- Must have been a 2025 CORHA member
- Must show in at least 50% of the 2026 CORHA approved shows.
- Complete essay on assigned topic (500-700 words) Essay to be submitted electronically by end of the August show.
- Applicants must plan and participate in the Youth Weekend Party which will be overseen and approved by the Youth Committee and held during the July 2026 CORHA show. (Tentative)
- Each applicant will interview by Non-CORHA Members. Interview will take place at the July show.
- Sell tickets for the youth fundraiser and/ or Chuck a duck
- Each applicant will supply an item for the Silent Auction held at the Year End Awards Banquet. Please
deliver to a Youth Committee member at the August 2026 Show. - Deadlines are firm. All late submissions will be subject to a one point deduction per day per item.
CORHA and the Youth Achievement Award Committee expect all youth participants to maintain a
high level of sportsmanlike conduct at all times.
The Youth Committee will continue to monitor and assess all opportunities and requirements to assure each applicant has a fair and safe way to participate fully. All forms and requirements will be made available on the CORHA website.
